FieldBank™

FieldBank, which was developed by ARK Geophysics Ltd and the British Geological Survey, is a web based global data bank for gravity and magnetic geophysical data. Fieldbank allows explorationists rapid access to gravity and magnetic data holdings in their area of interest via a web browser. Exploration companies can outsource their gravity and magnetic data management to Fieldbank. Once their proprietary data is loaded into Fieldbank, it can be searched and retrieved through a secure web page.

Various seismic acquisition companies also store selected speculative gravity and magnetic data acquired with non-exclusive seismic surveys in Fieldbank. FieldBank therefore allows subscribers to evaluate their own data coverage and easily see how these can be augmented by vendor data. Seismic companies that display their survey navigation data in Fieldbank include Petroleum Geoservices (PGS) EAME, WesternGeco EAME, WesternGeco ASA. and CGGVeritas.

Fieldbank is also used by The Petroleum Affairs Division of Ireland (PAD) and Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC UK) as a means to display released gravity and magnetic data.
